Hi,

I have a question : Whats stock size mm of a 04-06 tb ? Are they the same auto/6spd? What could it be max bored to ?

Im thinking of getting a im ported/polished and the tb max bored to match vs. the 3.7/zdx route. What do you think?

They're the same between the two transmissions. It's listed as 64mm, but mine measured closer to 65. It can be bored to roughly 67mm (manifold side). If you can get the work done at a reasonable price and the person knows what they're doing, using a flow bench to verify improvements, it might yield some gains. The 3.7 swap isn't cheap, but it's been proven to make power. I have yet to see any real data on porting the stock parts. Depends what you're looking for in the end. If you want to swap cams and tune at some point, 3.7 should help even more. If you're short on cash and don't plan to go all out, porting the stock stuff might be the way to go.

And all the sensors etc are same between im/tb on 5at /6man?

Old thread bump but are all 3G TBs the same? I have a type s but could I run an 04-06 TB? Asking because I'm looking to bore my TB but its my DD so I gotta keep the car going
