2nd gen heads?

Has anyone ever put the heads from 2nd gen tl on there 3rd gen? Im deffinatley looking to do this soon. This way i can use the megan racing headers, witch im sure make much more power compared to how much my rv6 precats gave me. So far positive i can see is that if i ship cams to bisimoto i wont not have my car for 2 weeks or if i didnt wanna ship my stock cams i wont have to pay the core charge of 389$. As well when the heads are at the machine shop being ported and polished ill still be able to drive, the total time between cams, putting in new springs, valves, and retainers, having ported and polished would probably be about 1 month and as i mentioned before new core set of cams would be 389$ but i can get a set of heads for around 200 off ebay. Only thing that i have seen so far that needs to be modified is a spot for the 02s on the megan racing headers witch can be done by a local exhaust shop for around 30$ and from there id make the car true dual. So anyone else know of any other difficulties?

Not sure if this will work. It's been discussed before but I can't remember the specifics.

I've been wondering if someone was going to try this at some point. Don't see why it wouldn't work? I know Reese was making 280+ whp in his 6MT swapped 2G, so I know the potential for more power is there with proper headers.

^ I don't think he has longtubes either.....so he could potentially make even more. And although his runs were 'uncorrected,' his trap speed was right on par with the power. And now he's just killin' it lol.

If you can have the headers fitted/clearence I don't see why there would be a problem

I'm looking to see how that'll turn out

See post #11 (after taking out the Red X's of course).
