So got the TL all back together, it's definitely quite the task doing this all on the ground but it's all together.
now for the fun stuff .
Once we reconnect the battery much to my surprise it wasn't dead, and she turned over didn't sound to shit hot as it definitely was a hard start due to I sitting for a while. The idle seems to be messed up ? yesterday I got it up to operation temp and when I got on to the gas to raise the rpms when it came down to idle it just crapped out . Did this multiple times ,for the life of us we couldn't figure it out, fluids are all good .
So today we bled the brakes and out the tires on getting ready for a test drive and now when I start it up . It starts and the say 10 second after it just dies .
Anyone know whats up ? I'm guessing I missed a sensor or have one backwards . I'm stumped .
Yesterday we ran there the gears all was smooth and clean , also engaged the clutch it's quite graby.
Tomorrow need to jack it all back up and try to troubleshoot things

I would like to update everyone and say that my tl s is now running, thanks to my partner ( BRO ) . He did some research as I'm away for the family long weekend. And found out that there in fact is an ecu reset procedure that is actually needed to be done after such work that we did on my car . He followed this ( run engine at 3000rpms for 5 mins and walla problem solved , although Im still in shock that it's running, he send me video to show me and s dam impressive 😀👍
Now a question about the clutch you all will know that we installed a xlr8 stage 2 clutch pkg.with flywheel
As the kit probably only has 1 km on it lol due to the starting issue. My brother has mentioned that it is quite graby, is this normal and or will lesson with the breaken period .
Thanks all

far from a complaint, mearly a comment as I stated it only got 1 km on it and was asking if this is normal , this is a stage 2 not 3 witch I was told will be quite graby over the stage 2 witch will retain more stock like feel

Here we go with the stages again. Sooner or later folks are going to learn the whole "stage" thing is just a bunch if made up crap with no formal meaning to any of it.

I thought I read somewhere the 2006 TL 6-Speeds came from the factory with CANBUS. I don't know, maybe I was drunk or something. :p

I dont know the differences, I dont know what communication protocol the earlier years use...
I know, that I had to swap a 6MT type-s ECU into My 2006 6MT car and I had to add the what they(Hondata) called the canbus wire/harness.
I dont know why it's only the six speed manuals that can perform this retrofit. it's wizardry.
I found an 07 Type-S 6MT ECU at a junkyard for $100.
bought Flashpro for $700 + the harness for $50.
almost a grand to "tune" my car
but, HEY! she flies!!!

Maybe that was it, the CANBUS ECU can only be transplanted into the 2006 6MT and not previous years. Not sure though.

All 04-06 TL's have the CANBUS, it's just that CANBUS doesn't extend to the DLC port/OBD2 port whatever you want to call it for 04-06. The 06 ECU is plug and play with the TL-S ECU, doesn't need a conversion harness like the 04-05 ECU on the 6MT. The 04-06 auto trans is different from the 07-08, I want to say it doesn't have the same number of solenoids. I want to say that the 07-08 ECU will not control the 04-06 auto trans correctly since they are not the same transmission.

OIL PUMP from the bottom picture. But it might just be the power steering pump, from the top picture. Or, it's both, multiple leaks. If you are getting oil deposited at the front passenger side tip of the oil pan then it's the oil pump.

ahahaha 500+ that "plus" is hilarious as if the car will hit 500.. not to be mean but you have NO IDEA how many new members with less than 50 posts come to this forum and say "i just bought a TL-S, my goal is (insert a number you wont reach)" and then a few weeks/months go by and you NEVER hear from them again
the ONLY ones ive seen hit big numbers were the members that didnt future claim big projects... the ones that create a new thread, start breaking their build down as well as provide pictures of actual parts being in their possession on the 1st post are the ones you know are serious.. not the ones making an announcement about their newly acquired car followed by, again big claims
either way have fun with the car.. my recommendation, spend money on suspension > performance unless you got DEEP pockets
you can spend $1500-$2000 on suspension and see the world of difference it makes or you can spend $2000 in performance and still get smoked by most modern V6s and turbo 4s nowadays
and if you are really serious about 500+ whp then you need Gerzy Bear's rotrex supercharger which is good for 550whp but again expect to pay around a minimum of $5500 just for the supercharger.. factor in labor plus tuning and you'll be around 7 grand in the hole easy
so when you expect to hit your goals by? 2019?

Looks good OP, definitely more pics when you get the chance.
You have to forgive the skepticism from everyone, spend enough time on any car forum and you'll find the "OP promises/OP delivering" ratio to be quite horrible :^)
