prob didnt bleed all the way....or messed something up and got a leak, thus resulting in loss of pedal gradually...
once u bleed it right...pedal should feel stiff the entire travel ...from the very top, to the very bottom.... thats assuming its been bled and all air is out completely

so I am truly a moron... have the cylinder with the check valve removed... installed it.. pretty smooth.. but
I think I bled the clutch wrong cause my pedal has no movement at all... driving me nuts.. I think I need to bleed it again but just ran out of time today.. I am just hoping I did not break something on the cylinder cause that will piss me the off even though it will be my fault.. will see how tomorrow goes

Also make sure there is no leak on the clutch line, if you pump the pedal and hear air or squirts of fluid, check!
But anywho, THANK YOU! to opel and rockstar, great diy...def one of the best mods you could do to the TL! Honestly, I always thought the TL felt very slow and sluggish...but man after doing this...the car is a PURE BEAST in disguise! It's so easy to chirp 1st to 2nd now, even 3rd. I still have yet to try to launch the car, but i bet it will feel great. Overall the clutch grab is much more firm and much more confident. Feels very sporty...I'm lovin it =]

rockstar - the pedal just is limp... i can push it up and down with extreme ease like there is no pressure
I am going to bleed it again but first do a prefill on the cylinder from some other posts I have read
ib - I did the same thing but did not catch it until later and by that time everything was f'ed up so have to go back to the beginning to make sure I did not miss anything else
I am driving my mother's CRV - I am too damn old to be driving my mother's CRV.. oh well.. you live and you learn
will let you guys know if I get it to work or not...

To above posts....no problem for my part. Opel is the real hero though. About the bleeding thing...DEF...you have to keep the reservoir topped off at all times or you're going to start the whole bleeding process over again because you're introducing air into the top of the line...which means it'll have to make it's way the entire way down to get it all out. Keep it topped off...and be patient...propping a piece of wood between the tranny fork, thru the fender lining to the back of the driver side wheel ensures you get all the air out...this limits the slave travel and gets it all out. Althought driveable without doing that...this is what I had to do the following day to get the air out.
It feels like the bleeding process isn't doing anything for a while...just be patient...it'll take a bit but the pedal resistance will come.

notice the 2nd gear shifts, it is the significant difference

^^I guess bleeding out the clutch hydraulic system is the clutch fluid?

correct me if I'm right or wrong.

no prob....where are you, kid?
you can drain the clutch fluid by disconnecting the line into the slave cylinder, and pressing the clutch few times so it squirts out the fluid, or just simply opening the bleed off valve on the slave cylinder, and pumping the clutch, till its all out

This has turned into a beast of a mod man! I hope I can get this stoopid wobble figured out at the dealership next wednesday. Pray for me...so far, nobody has been able to diagnose it. If I solve that 2nd and 3rd gear wiggle...I will be in love with this car. It's the only thing keeping me from being happy.
At least this clutch thing has worked toward that goal!

hmmm could be blocked on your network or may have been blocked by hostsite.. I'll host them from a photo site.. The new Opel fan kinda creeped me out when he said he was driving around checking out Opel and that he may know someone who knows him..

finally got the clutch to pop back up.. took it out for a drive and it is smooth..... bled the heck out of it and not sure if others tried this but I ran the tube back to the reservoir so it kind of went into its own cycle of taking and filling
that being said..
Item 1
the clutch engages and disengages but has minimal pressure when engaging... is that what I should expect or do I need to bleed it more?
Item 2
I have no problems shifting except once in the first few minutes when it wouldnt disengage and stayed on the floor but then after I brought it up it was fine and did not do it again... same question as the other in that should I bleed it again?
I know if I am asking I should probably just do it but I hate bleeding that thing especially since I do not have any helpers who know anything

pump pump pump hold...that's it...over and over. Keep bleeding...do yourself a favor and get a piece of broom handle or wood...turn the driver wheel to the left completely and use a flashlight and look into the engine bay thru the hole in the fender liner...you'll see the slave and the tranny fork you're pressing. Prop piece of wood between the end of the fork and the back end of the wheel to limit fork travel. That will get the last of the air out.
I wasn't sure if it was necessary but that will cover it all. I had to do this twice to get ALL the air out. People will say not to recycle the fluid because the one at the bottom is dirty. If you get stuck...pump your clutch to build up pressure and you should be able to drive in the interim but the wood thing works for sure.

so the clutch was fine in the morning but as i drove it got worse and got to a point were it would not engage... there has to be a leak somewhere... going to stick the old one in and see what happens then go to the new one if the old one works and try that again... or in all honesty I could just be a dumb MF... I am OK with that... well the saga continues

put the old slave cylinder in and bled the whole thing and the clutch works... can't see a leak in the modified slave cylinder but going to mcguyver a way to pass fluid through it to see what happens... will put the modified back in again next weekend...
I did feel a smoother transistion betwen gears when the modified slave was in but wont truly know until it is in there for a few days..
good part of the weekend is i did get my AEM V2 and SS brakelines in and they work fantastic

Finally had the time to install the SC. I also installed the Innovative Motor mounts at the same time. What a difference. Much more pleasant to drive. The engagement is great and there is no wheel hop!
