07 TL-S What CAI???

Ok I know this has probably been discussed to death but I have read a few posts and have more questions. In your opinion what cai is the best and why? Will it make the car alot louder? I like the quietness of it now but would not mind a little more growl. I read on one site that you gain about 12 Hp and 10 ft lbs of torque. Can you feel a difference. How much will this affect gas mileage? I know that really depends on the right foot.

AEM V2 is probably the best all around CAI.
It's a little expensive.
But get it

I think most members go with the AEM V2 because of gains. Not sure if you'll get 12HP but perhaps more like 10HP. Good gain for the buck. And yes, you'll hear it when you punch it and hit WOT. As far as gas mileage, it shouldn't be much of a difference. Like you said, it depends on your right foot. The AEM V2 also look good IMO. Others have gone with Injen, K&N, etc., and even home made. I had an Injen on my old TSX and loved it. Good luck with your choice.

Back when I installed the aem cai, people said the v2 didn't fit... it was just until recently that we all figured it out. Definitely go v2 if you got the money.

As for noise, it's not an exhaust.. you'll like it!

was that whistle sound always there from the very beginning? or it developed over time? you might have a loose filter clamp, or cracked filter, or mounting bracket ripped off the weld leaving a crack on the tube.

sorry to get u worried lol but these things are common

it was there from the begining. its just the sound it makes. i know other people with the V2 that has that same sound. its not real a whisle noise.... its like a high pitch sucking sound at the begining when you accelerate.

oh well, high pitch sound, and whisle is 2 diff things for me lol... but you get my point though....air being sucked through a small crack would create a suction whistle, thats why i said what i said

Hello All,

I ended up getting the Fujita CAI. I like the color and it was the cheapest I could find. About 212.00 shipped.

I might be wrong, but I feel like my Aem V1 has a larger diameter pipe and fewer bends. Probably doesn't really make a difference...
Congrats either way for taking the plunge
