I doubt we have a DIY on here for a transmission replacement. The scope of that project warrants getting a Helms service manual.

I'm not sure that would be allowed here. Just google it you should find something. If not they can be had for cheap...

Three Wheelin'
lol...Theres more involved than just unbolting and swapping in the new.
Find a way to support the engine. Maybe an engine hoist or bar
Remove Battery
Remove Battery tray
remove starter
unbolt fuse panel and move aside
unbolt front and rear engine mounts.( Just have to remove the screw that attaches to the block.)
Remove transmission upper mount
Raise car on lift.
Remove exhaust
Remove Wheels,
Remove Axles
Remove upper ball joint from control arm
Find a way to support the subframe as you will need to unbolt it.
Place some marks on the bolts and the frame itself to ensure proper alignment when reinstalling.
Remove flex plate cover.
Remove flex plate bolts.
unbolt trans from block
make sure you do not drop the dowl pins while removing the trans.
installation is in reverse.
Sound like something you can do?
i'm probably missing a couple more steps but its not a one man job without the proper tools
