A lot imo. Your going to need a wide variety of stuff to just prep the engine to take a decent shot.

I'll leave the specifics up to someone whom uses it but your not just going to be hooking up a bottle and having a field day.

first things first, get yourself a decent Air Fuel Gauge

then get yourself a bundled wet kit from the brand of your choice....

From what I have heard and experienced is the air/fuel (or stoichiometry) gauges are not accurate enough to trust with nitrous. I would go with a EGT gauge myself

Thing about Egts is the reaction time of the gauges. Damage can happen in a seconds and that is usually longer than an EGT gauge moves. I have run at least ten bottles thru my car tuned off an A/F gauge and so far so good. A lean cutoff used with an A/F gauge are your best bets.

Hmm. I repect your knowledge, so I believe you. When I had supercharged and turboed cars I was always told EGT was the way to go...

I used EGTS on forced induction as well. Egts are great for Turbos and SCs cuz they are likely to generate a slower increase in cylinder temp barring a giant boost spike or some other bizarre condition. I used A/f for TUNING all types of cars. I use A/F in nitrous apps since they are much quicker to respond than Egts and since with the juice the spike in cylinder temps is almost instant, I wanna know ASAP where I am at lol. When I was building 700+ HP turbo cars I used to have each header tube tapped with an Egt sensor!
