XM won't take programming
Hi all-
I have a newly acquired '04 that I cannot seem to get XM radio on. I have a free, 2 month subscription and I have tried the XM "refresh" process multiple times (with no obstructions around me). I have talked with XMSirius tech support twice and to no avail. Each time they sent a refresh and neither time did the radio pick up programming The second time, the tech support woman actually gave up and told me to take it to the dealer (not going to happen).
I know that the xm radio is functional, because it plays the advertisement loop on channel 1. When I try to scan through the channels it will alternate between 0 and 1, but will not find any other channels.
The first and previous owner (my dad) had never had it programmed and so this is the first time that anyone has attempted to have it take an XMsirius subscription.
Any ideas? Is there anything that I am forgetting to do? Any suggestions are appreciated.
