XM and Sirious FINALLY combine service!
I just received the following Email that describes combining the best features of Sirius with XM radio:
Dear SIRIUS XM Subscriber,
Since the merger of XM and SIRIUS was initially announced, we've pledged that this union would bring our listeners more choices. We're pleased to inform you about the first of these improvements.
Effective immediately, XM subscribers may elect to add The Best of SIRIUS programming package to their XM subscription. The Best of SIRIUS package includes:
Howard Stern - Hear the Revolution with 2 dedicated channels, 24/7
NFL - Hear Every Game, Every Week, Everywhere plus 24/7/365 news and in-depth analysis on SIRIUS NFLŽ Radio
Martha Stewart Living Radio - The first 24 hour radio channel dedicated to great living
NASCAR- 24/7 coverage of Every Race and Everything In Between plus nonstop news and talk with SIRIUS NASCARŽ Radio
Playboy Radio - Sexy, smart and refined exclusive programming
All XM radios can receive The Best of SIRIUS.
We also have a variety of other new programming packages, you can opt to change to at any time.

apparently i cannot spell.
So I called XM to see how much it would cost to change service. The new one is $4 more per month (XM + best of siirius.) But, they wanted to put me on the $$$ yearly plan versus our $77 promotional plan. So despite REALLY wanting NFL radio, I declined.

Hey, thanks for letting us know!
But I have to be honest, they'll have to PAY ME to add those channels. They all sound worthless (with the exception of NFL, may be).

It's been out for a while if you consider "a while" to be a max of 2 weeks. I would add NFL if they hadn't insisted on bumping me to the $180/year price. Jerks. I don't feel like calling back a billion times to get the deal and I've only found one obscure post on a forum where someone was able to get this added for free. n=1 is not good enough for me to waste my time. Plus, my NFL teams suck this year.
