I have an 08 Altima, but am looking at getting a used TL. If I get an 07 then I can have the XM NavTraffic feature. However, I have it on my Altima and don't think it's all that...

I live in Vegas and traffic by the strip is pretty bad. I got in a traffic jam and the navtraffic thing did not say anything about it. I'll see little icons saying "freeway entrance closed" or "permanent road construction" and that is about it. It does not automatically re-route you or anything like that either.

Am I missing something here or is just a show me the money type thing? It would be nice to have it in the TL but I can get an 04/05 for a lot less....

 

I love the XM NavTraffic. Where I live, there are atleat 2 parallel highways to get everywhere and a ton of bridges and tunnels to get off the island. Any of those crossings and highways can get VERY congested. There have been a bunch of times that I see one highway is clogged up but the other running freely, and it's saved me lots of time in my travels.

 

I like it too Omelet. I live in Kansas City and I don't get both of the things you're supposed to get with Nav Traffic. First, you'll get traffic accidents and road construction, which we do get in KC. Plus, you also will get traffic speeds, which I've got to think would be VERY helpful for you in Vegas, which we don't have yet in KC. With traffic speeds, you'll see a red bar along the highway for heavy traffic and slow speeds. You'll see a yellow bar along the highway for medium speeds and a green bar for free-flowing speeds on the highway. It's only $3.99 per month more. Give it a shot!
