Will 09 Honda HFM Moduel Fit 07 Acura TL??

Hello everyone, I just bought my first Acura and of course the HFM Module does not work. No junk yards in the area have any and $200+ is over my price point for another one. I noticed that 08-12 Honda Blue Tooth Modules have the exact same harness/pin configuration. Same grey color harness as well. The black cover is different but i was wondering if the module itself is the same and would work? I figured since 07-08 Acura TLs had the same HFM Module and Honda makes most of the parts, that a 08-12 module might work. Also is alot cheaper on Ebay then the Acura labeled ones.

Any Thoughts?

From the outside, they look similar... and if they have the same FCC ID, they should be identical hardware. From the few pics I've found, some look to have different software versions... but I'm not sure if it's actually different software, or just a different version of the same software, so it may not work (though if it's cheap enough, it's probably worth a try). Do you have a pic of the bare Honda board?

You can see some close-ups of the older board in these two links... the boards look identical (and have the same CB2BLUEC05 FCC ID), but the labels on the plastic part are different, and show different software versions.

If you look at labels for the gray connector one, it looks like the TL used FCC ID of CB2BLUEC07. This at least looks to have shared the module with the MDX.

They have the same ID except it's a 06 instead of a 05 like my 07 TL has. Just can't afford over 100. If you that doesn't work anyone have recommendations on a Bluetooth adapter for the aux port that actually sounds ok when using.

I had something like what thoiboi recommended for a while and they work great, but after a while I got tired of the non-stock look of it and upgraded to the BT45-ACU. It integrates with the XM radio and works perfectly. It's a bit more involved of an install but still very simple even with no experience. The only place it gets challenging is routing the microphone wire from the trunk.
It's about $140 on amazon but IMO it was worth it to get rid of that little thing being stuck to my dash and re-gaining my steering wheel controls on music.
