Hey guys, quick question.

Since there is something wrong with my XM, I have attempted to reset the radio to see if it resolves the issue. I've twice pulled the cables on my battery and let it sit for a while. First time I let it sit for 10 mins, and the second time I let it sit for 30 mins.

When I re-connect the battery it asks me for the radio and navigation codes which I punch in. Now the weird thing is that all the radio presets are still there. Even my service reminder for an oil change is still there in my dash when I start up the car again. The trip counters reset though.

Now I thought when you pulled the battery everything resets. I could have sworn that the last time I had battery issues all my presets were wiped out and even the service reminder was wiped out.

How is my car magically remembering the presets and service reminder? If it is remembering the presets, did the radio fully reset (which I wanted in the first place, to try and resolve my XM issues)? Or did the radio never fully reset?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
