Where is the piezo sound emitter for the remote door lock located?

Those of you who have a 3rd gen TL with a working "beep" confirmation for activating the OEM security system by pushing lock on the key fob twice: where is the doohicky that makes the sound located?

I'd like to verify that the noise maker for the push-lock-twice function is operational—my 2007 TL-S won't beep, even though the "beep on" feature is selected via the MID.

Thanks in advance.

The sound emitter you are referring to is located under the front driver side light, basically right were the front bumper starts on the driver side. It may be not making a sound because you still have something open, its wired to a Ic that checks the car to make sure everything is closed, even having a window slightly open will cause it to not make a sound.. Check everything and then try again, if it still doesn't work it could be bad sensors on your doors or a bad ground wire on the speaker its self.

Thank you very much! I will look into all of your suggestions. I also read on another thread that someone fixed their non-beeping TL by turning the feature OFF via the MID, and then turning it back on... just in case that turns out to be the case for me, or another TL owner.

Actually it only checks the doors not the windows. Windows can be open it will still beep.
