When removing rear seat back, is it necessary to remove bottom part as well?

For my 2005 TL, I was able to loosen the two screws behind the head rest, then I wasn't sure where to go from there. Do I need to remove the bottom to take out the back?

I'm doing this to install a subwoofer, do I even need to remove the rear seats for it, or is there a way to go through the trunk?

It would be easier if you took out the bottom.

yes, you will need to take it out otherwise installing and removing the lower seat bolts for the upper seat portion is impossible. It's really easy to take out the seat bottom, one bolt and two clips!

ok, thank you, I'll try it. I called my dealer to see if they could quickly remove the rear seats and they wanted to charge me $120 for it, which I thought was ridiculous. Where is the lower seat bolt located on the link supplied, what letter is it? My friend and I tried to find the 2 clips as well but we had no luck. We found 2 metal bars near the middle rear seat but I was told to look for a plastic clip.
