What's the best sound settings? (Bass, treble, center etc.)

I have been trying to find what sounds best. I listen to all kinds of music except country really. Right now I think it's like +2 bass, +3 treble, +4 sub, -2 center I'm not sure though. Any audiophiles found the best settings?

a person here found the settings, but that was for the most SPL, not SQL. How loud do you listen to your music?

There are those who know much more about audio than I do, but I care very much about audio quality. And unless there is something unusual going on, I always listen without any signal processing or equalization, in other words, flat.

SPL is "Sound Pressure Level". You can get a device that measures SPL from Radio Shack, and use it to calibrate speakers to get the same level from each speaker to your listening spot.

I've never heard of one used in a car, since your space is so much more limited. I guess that's possible.

SQL is "structured query language"...at least to those of us in Information Technology.

Sorry, those are terms that my friend told me for SPL means how loud and SQL meaning quality. Seeing these are incorrect, I must be back after kicking some ass.
