Just call Acura. Give them your VIN and you're done. Quick & Simple

Called two separate dealerships, both gave me the code I already had... Brought the Acura to its dealership, service tech told me I had the correct code... Trying to avoid a costly service appointment :-/

only thing I can think of is to pull your stero and make sure hte #s match

if you bought it brand new then dealerhsip f'ed up with #s.. if you bought it used someone could have changed the radio

check out the DIY area to take out your radio.. that or take it to the dealerhsip to do it.. the # in the back of it is wht is important

This is going to sound silly, but are you using the radio preset buttons to enter the code (as opposed to the Navi buttons, which only work for the Navi)?

I guess the last thing I will do is take the headunit out. The original owner was my mother, she never chagned the unit, nor did she bring it in to be serviced on...(the head unit, I mean). Thanks for the tips, though.

Not silly at all! I have a non navi model, so there is no way for me to use those buttons! But good thinking anyway, sometimes it's the smallest detail that you seem to overlook when trying to accomplish something... In my experience, anyway. lol

OK, disconnect the battery for 20 minutes, so that "Code" appears in the faceplate once power is reconnected, then try entering the code again.

Several members had issues with their radios, and that method cleared it, as the radios apparently lock up after several unsuccessful code entries.

Acura previously told me if you hold down the 1 & 6 preset buttons, the radio screen with display the serial number, which Acura should then get you what you need.

I already got the code to reset itself without d/c'ing the battery, I guess it went through its time cycle to reset. Tried the code 3 more times, same thing, just giving me an error. Starting to get pretty annoyed at something that should be a simple fix... This may force me to get an aftermarket HU, although I really do not want to.

^^06 doesn't have AUX either.
OP, try checking the outside wall of your glove compartment. I found my radio and Navi codes on a sticker there. If you find them, it may tell you if the code you have is correct. I would also try the 20 minute battery disconnect---it can't hurt anything at this point.

I tried the underground garage thing - no go. The screen is stuck saying just ERRE. The 1-6-power thing doesn't work either.
Dread going to the dealer.

Go to HONDA. Same thing happen to me before, acura code didn't work, so I went to Honda and they gave me the correct code. Make sure u have ur serial # handy, if not I think if u hold buttons 1 and 6 it should show u your serial #.

Double checked Manual in case it wasn't actually original to this car , but it was.
Did the 1 - 6 - Power sequence to double check the written serial numbers - they were right.
Continued trying to enter CODE [ 11624 ] many times in different conditions over 2 days - even under a parking deck at hospital (2G fix) - nothing worked.
Read about disconnecting antenna (2G fix) so came here to find best way to disco antenna -- found that info.
Was about to try to disco antenna - but did a couple more searches here first .... and found this thread.
For the hell of it - used the Acura.Com link above and did the yada yada .....

It gave me a Different Code [ 66224 ]
huh - what
well
First Try - It Worked

I think when 'humans' have looked up these codes in the past - they might have sometimes been off one line on the graph listing and accidentally given people the wrong security code.
Best i can guess at it.
How does 11624 become 66224 ... too many digits are wrong for a simple written mistake.

But i am happy now !

Another tidbit - just pull fuse #5 [yellow 20 amp] from bottom row of interior fuse box when you reach limit of tries on entering code.
I did that several times versus disco'ing battery cable.
Good Luck
