want to put on different headlights (10,000k)

i just recently purchased some 10,000k jdm headlight bulbs for my 07 TL, but once i installed them they only stay on for about a minute before they go off....im pretty sure its because they are getting too hot...does anybody know what i can do to solve this problem?

6000 is as high a number as you really want to go for normal humans- 8 + is not throwing much visable light on the road to see by

If you did not but the $150 HID bulbs- you have the wrong bulbs!

Give us the part numer of the bulb to confirm that the parts guy at krappin sold you HALOGEN or xenon bulbs for a regular 12volts system

The TL of course- uses no regular parts!

If he installed regular halogen bulbs on an HID system, they would explode as soon as he turned them on...

The initial charge of current that the ballast creates to fire-up an HID lamp is enormous and would destroy a standard bulb in less than a second.

The fact that his lamps come on for a bit, before they shut off, tells us that they are HID lamps... but I suspect they are either defective, or poor quality lamps.

How much did you spend on the 10K lamps? Are they cheap ones...?
