Verizon XV6700

Verizon just released a new PDA Phone. It looks sharp! Does anyone have it and have they successfully paired it?

I had the Sprint version and it was horrible. It would pair just fine. But it was constantly dropping the BT connection. It would happen about 60% of the time. Others with the same phone said they were having the same problem so I gave up and sent it back.

I would say it's possible that the Verizon model would be better, but I doubt it. The 6700 is the HTC Apache and the people with the HTC Wizard models also had the same problems.

Good luck.

Let me just add, this was made even more frustrating because Acura lists the 6700 on it's website as compatible.

meh ... i played with it at the V store ... its less than the 700w for a reason. I like my 700w better ... much faster. The only thing I like about the xv is that the keyboard is bigger. Other than that ... go 700w all the way!

That's a matter of opinion. The 700w also has a smaller screen with a weird resolution that is going to cause problems with many programs. The 6700 also has WiFi.

I'm glad you like the 700w. I liked the 6700 better. Too bad it sucked with the TL.

Well, I bought the VX6700 from Verizon.

So far:
Pairs fine
No signal strength or battery meter
calls are very quiet - I have to turn my volume up to 20+ just to hear people

No drops yet.

What happened with your pairing? I bought the 6700 yesterday as a replacement for my 6600, figuring it would have no problem pairing, as the TL had no difficulty finding the 6600. Wrong! After multiple time-outs, still no luck.

Took 6700 back

I ended up returning my 6700 before the 15 day trial. It was having some BT drops about 20% of the time. I went back to my E815 since this was back in Feb. and just recently purchased the Q.

I'm think some of you are confusing the HTC6700 Windows smart phone and the LG 6700 "V". Totally different phones.

I think some are also confusing the Sprint version with the Verizon version.
