Valentine 1 mounting
Anyone know of a clean solution for mounting a Valentine 1 without clipping it to the visor or using suction cups? I want something like the blendmount (http://www.blendmount.com/) but i was looking at the mirror post in my 07 TL and I can't figure out how to make it work.
Any ideas? Custom solutions?

Search is your friend. But I've been research the same question and found this:

I can't say for sure if it fits but they do have a picture of a mounting that looks a lot like the TL's rear view mirror. If you get one make sure you let us know how it works out.

Thanks. I definitely searched quite a bit but didn't come up with much outside of threads about hardwiring radar detectors.
The mini z mount looks like it might work. I need to take a couple measurements first though. I'll definitely be buying a mount before the detector. I'm anal enough that I'd rather go without a detector if I can't have a clean install... and I'd rather eat $50 vs $400.

This is my setup - I use the suction cup mounts, but they're under the tint strip so from outside of the car it's invisible. I'm running the remote display as well so I do not need to worry about touching the unit and I have had no issues with detection performance right underneath the tint strip.
I prefer this arrangement than some of the mirror mounted arrangements simply because it's easily removed, and not easily seen from outside of the car. The mounts that hang it lower make it in a better position to use, but I have long arms so reaching over to adjust the volume isn't a problem.
The V1 phone cable is routed up through the drivers side A-pillar, underneath the front edge of the headliner to the unit, the remote display is wired up through the dash and out through the side of the drivers vent housing (pulls right out). All the power wiring is below and the wire is spliced into my power window lockout to act as a kill switch (hitting the power window button turns off both my laser jammers and V1 - good for when I drive through VA)
