V710 not on Acura.com?!?!?!?!?
I have read many threads which state that people are able to pair their V710 (verizon) to their Acura TL...
The only problems encountered are the inability to see signal strengh and battery...
My question is as follows:
Why does http://www.handsfreelink.com/phones.html not have this phone as a compatible phone to the TL...
And does this mean that not compatible to them means you can see battery and signal...???
Color me confused...
I would like to switch to Verizon from Tmobile and therefore ditch my SE T610 and go with the Motorola V710... The useless ppl at the Porter Ranch Verizon store did not know their ass from a hole in the ground... and lets say their customer service skills were sadly lacking... Especially when talking about the compatibility to our TL...
Please help...

I have on 04 and Verizon with the V710. The battery signal thing does not work. Never a problem with outgoing calls. When I am in the car, I put the phone on "vibrate" and there is never a problem with incoming.
Go ahead and do it, you will be fine.

What Acura Says...
I too am very interested in buying the v710, Yesterday I talked with Acura - Hands Free Link customer service, Motorola and Verizon. The Verizon store had no clue at all. Acura said that the know issues, in addition to the signal strength and battery were (1) the phone will disconnect from the car [but the call stay on the handset] if a second call comes in when talking on a call through HFL, (2) the HFL would disconnect when using HFL to place a call by saying a name. Acura said that they did not know if the much talked about but yet to appear software update would solve the problems. They were skeptical Moto would fix the issues since their recent updates for the v600 phone did not cure all Acura problems. Moto tech help confirmed they are working on an update but said they had no exact time other than soon. They said a beta patch was out but still being tested and not ready for prime time.
