V710 and battery life.

I know this has been discussed before, but from what I heard on here, I was REALLY concerned about battery life with the V710. I just got a new one a few days ago, and today, I put it to the test. I talked on it a LOT today, never plugging it back into the charger, and never turning BT off. I was in and out of the car all day, so I'd say it was linked up about 40% of the time.

After about 10 hours of fairly heavy use (for me, at least... but I did talk on it quite a bit today, probably a couple hours total) with BT on the entire time, my phone still showed a battery level of 6, the highest it goes. Is this what everyone else is seeing? I've heard nothing but horror stories, and how this phone almost REQUIRES the extended battery, but if this is the kind of battery performance (with the standard battery) I'm going to see, then I'm EXTREMELY happy. It beats the #(*&$ out of my old LG 4400.

How do you have 6 bars? Mine only has 3. I have the extended battery and charge mine nightly.. I use a hell of a lot of minutes.. almost 3000 minutes a month.

JT3, I htink this is another issue that VZW needs to address with a firmware update if possible. Almost ALL of my battery juice for the V710 is at the top of the battery bar. Battery shows full charge for quite some time and then appears to die quickly. Once the regular phone battery display drops one bar I know to get ready to charge the phone as it will not last much longer. I think the battery meter just needs tweaking (actually the whole phone needs tweaking but there are enough discussions on that issue)!

I think I found what you are talking about. I posted about it previously saying mine only has 3 bars (on the display....), but if you go into Phone info, and battery meter then it has #'s in there. I did not charge my phone last night so I want to see how long my phone will last, it is still on 6 in that display for battery meter (though I only talked maybe 20 mins top on it yesteday...).
