Alright, if you remember I installed a amp and sub and had some pretty bad engine noise. So many on here said I could remove the rear dome light and disconnect the mic. I did that and also disconnected the front. The noise was still there.

So, I removed the center channel in the front and disconnected the wire harness that went to a silver box.......What impact will this have? I'm not really sure what that box was, but I read on a post here that it would eliminate the noise?

Any help would be great.......

Most likely you just disconnected it from the Amplifier. Should be alright. Was it located by the Passenger side kick panel?

the box i disconnected was under the center channel in the front dash.

I have it disconnected for almost a 2 weeks now, no problems yet.
