Hey guys,

Quick question. I seem to be having an issue with my USA-Spec. The car came with it installed, so I'm not sure how exactly its been done behind the stereo, but I do know that the XM works on my car.

The only problem I'm having with it is that It won't charge my iphone 4. I know for a fact that its the USA Spec PA11-HON2y unit....Is it my unit thats bad, or maybe it is outdated? Not sure....

Is there any interface that does charge iphone4? I'd like to knock out two birds here and not have two wires for my phone...Plus i can't charge and listen to music; its one or the other which is annoying.

I have the same unit and ran into the same issue with my adapter. USASPEC sells a new cord but I sent them an email and never got a response for the new cord. A few companies make an adapter piece for 10 dollars that you can buy at places like best buy.

The unit is "technically" outdated as they have a new one that gives text info and some other stuff over ours.

What kind of adapter are we talking about?

Maybe I'll try to contact USA-Spec as well.

Well, i decided up bump this thread for anyone else that might do a search in the future.


I called customer support at USA SPec and ordered the updated cable for only 26$ shipped. I figured it was a fair price considering the above mentioned adapter was about 20 bucks anyway; and this would be a cleaner look.

The model number for the cord needed to support charging for iphone and iphone 4 is CB-PA85


I will post an update when it comes and is installed

what number did you call? The one that came on my unit is no longer in service and a google didn't give me one either
