upgrade factory speakers? necessary?

upgrade factory speakers? necessary?
I am a big fan of car audio, the TL has Acura/ELS Surround™ Premium 8-Speaker Sound System, total output 225watts, but I want to know if anyone upgrade the speakers to aftermarket speakers and how it goes...is it necessary to upgrade factory speakers?
