well i recieved my navi dvd player back today from Alpine, now after hooking it back up to my car, and rebooting the system, the GPS signal cannot be found. It just shows me in Anaheim, CA.... Im in Mobile, AL. I have disconnected the battery and tried it again, but no luck. Has anyone else had this issue?? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Just a thought but have you taken your car out on the road and driven around a little to see if the system recalibrates based on your new position? Guessing the DVD drive was bench tested after repair in CA.
Again just a thought.
If that doesn't work, you might try invoking the diagnostics menu and see if the navi is in fact finding the satellites.

No problem.
If that doesn't work and you want to invoke the diagnostic screen: first, get in your car, turn the nav on, and hold down the "GUIDE", "MENU", and "CANCEL" buttons for about 5 seconds. This will bring up the diagnostics menu. I don't remember exactly from there (could do it sitting in the car) but believe there is a option for Navi Unit.
Hope this helps -

Hi Noober,
How many days did it took before you received the unit after repair?
How did you pay alpine, did you use cheque from a Canadian bank?
Please advise. Thanks
