TL 04-08 iPod iPhone Car Install Kit Adapter

Guys! For the wife's birthday I'm getting her a IPOD/IPHONE kit. We live in Hampton roads Va and after looking around I found a place (GO-HO Audio One) on Little creek Blvd in Norfolk that’s willing to do it $249.00. This seems like the best price I could find with parts and install. This adapter will allow her to use and operate the IPOD threw the Navi screen also charging it at the same time (for whatever reason she cannot keep her phone charged)!

What do you guys think? Is this a good price for this part and install?

You can get the unit shipped from ebay for half of that if you want to install it yourself. That is probably OK if you need somebody to install it.

I have 2 of those units and they are fine. They can be hard to learn at first. Using the factory buttons, they are not intuitive like something that Apple would design where you can be a whiz in 2 minutes, but after a week I was a good.

Thanks man, yeah I need someone to install it. I thought about trying to but changed my mind. Glad to hear you like. They told me you can use right on your navi screen though. Is that true? Ill take the wifes in on Saturday and get hers done, then maybe mine done next week.

No. You can see track info on your nav screen. You use the 5 & 6 buttons down on the radio as well as the tuner knob. 6 goes forward from the root, 5 goes back, the knob goes up and down in a list.

I can use the steering wheel controls on my 2004 navi and 2006 base, but some cannot. I think that it depends on the year and stuff.

Hmmm.... you might be able to the 5 and 6 button on the nav screen, but then you would still need to use the tuner knob to scroll up and down.
