tap power in trunk, taillight?

My dad wants to put in a backup camera, and the camera part (its wireless to the monitor) has a + and - for power. Where in the trunk can i tap into? maybe the taillight?

That would work.......if you only used it at night.

Not sure if the usual spots used for the remote for an amp will work or not since I assume the camera draws a bit more power. There's always the option to take it from the battery. I'm sure there are others on here that have done this before that can help.

Tapping into the reverse light would work since it's on when you backup. Just be sure to get a 1 second delay switch so when you go from park to drive you don't keeping on blipping power to the reverse camera.

Do you have Navi? If so you should be able to tap off the Navi power as the DVD player sits back there.

constant on? I don't recall there being one, if you need one you can run a cable from the battery to the trunk or you might be able to tap the fuse for the power seat for the driver.
