Stock Subwoofer Rattle?
take it into the dealer and let them hassle with it, i have the same problem, complained of blown sub and rattle, they replaced the sub didnt even touch the rattle and actually made it worse, they will be receiving the vehicle again no doubt
How can I stop the subwoofer cover from rattling. Anyone else have this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am sending you a PM to find out what you are doing, but do not post this link again.
Mine used to rattle pretty badly. Luckily, one of the tracks on the DVD-A demo disc was able to really excite the rattle, so I used that to demonstrate it to a service tech at the dealer. They replaced the unit under warranty and fixed the other rattles, too. The tech said he had fixed these rattles many times and he did a good job on mine. It took two days to get everything fixed (free) and they gave me a TL as a loaner during the service. I still get the occasional buzz in the driver's door, but I'll probably track that one down myself.

i had a rattle in my sub. dealer fixed it in a few hours. they said that I broke three clips in the sub that holds the entire sub together. they replaced the clips and insulated it with some material. honestly after they fixed it, i felt that it bumps even harder than before the rattle came. my boys in the car and the ones riding next to me say it sounds like i got a box. i played kanye west "workout plan" before the rattle and it hit hard. after the rattle was fixed, you could barely hear the lyrics and this was only up like 3 notches. it was a badass fix by the dealership
A quick suggestion, throw a disc in that make the sub rattle. Then get in the back and press up on the third brake light cover.
I thought my sub was rattling, and after investigation it was the plastic cover on that third brake light. You can actually see it vibrating when looking closely with some bass.
My dealer said there was a tsb for some clips on the light cover and some rubber isolation. Not sure, but mine is fixed now.

I fixed mine by opening the trunk, looking where there are small vents right up against the inside of the glass ( from the trunk into the cabin), had some 1/2" foam, cut it a square inch and lifted the panel off the subwoofer, nobody can tell I did this besides my son and the problem was solved...sorry no pics but the reason i did it was because when I asked the dealer to look into this they were more than happy as long as I left the vehicle an entire day, personally I live almost 40 miles from the dealer and didn't want to take time off from work and waste a day sitting around waiting for the to fix it ..
