stock sub vibrations?

well i was driving the other day and put in my friend's cd and the bass on the song caused sub to rattle.... the really gross kind... like an oversized sub in a car with a loose trunk type vibration . i thoguht i had it too loud but even at 8-9 i could hear the sub giving off that vibration noise X_x first time i heard my sub do this, even at 16+ volume on my other c/d's i never heard this. was wondering if stock sub is bad and if i need to replace it? maybe i blew something?

Nope, nothing is blown. I had the exact same problem. It's classified as a rear deck rattle. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it. Apparently something got loose causing the rattling.

Wow, thanks for letting me know, I thought it was just my car. I am pretty sure it wasn't blown either, but it does do the rattling after the volume hits 8-10. I'll let the dealer know.

Indeed, I was pissed cause it was happening at such a low volume. I could understand if it was a bass-heavy song at high volume but since it was low, I was ticked. Brought it in and.....

It was free. It seemed to be a quick fix because it took only about 10 minutes or so. I had other things fixed as well. I told them I had thought my sub was blown but instantly he corrected me and said so there is a rattle in the rear deck? I replied yes and I guess there was just something loose back there because it was fixed. However, you will of course notice other noises when the rattle is gone, naturally. There's nothing wrong with mine after the fix.
