so the factory amp only pushes 2 ohm speakers? why is it so crappy sounding if they are 2 ohm? 2ohm should be more wattage. man this is gonna be pricey and complicated to have speakers changed out. in the electronic threads some say the door and back dash speakers are 6 1/4 and some say they are 6 1/2 . which is it?

The speakers are 6.5" However most replacement speakers need spacer rings and a little metal removal to fit. You can put some truly massive 6.5" in the door with a little work.
New speakers pretty much means an amp and all the install issues that goes with it. FWIW there is a pair of 2ohm infinity reference speakers that are supposed to be pretty drop in. I don't know if anyone is running them though.

Just because they take more wattage does not mean that they sound good. In actuality, some of the best sounding speakers are VERY efficient and sound better with less wattage.
