Sound system related rattle, how to avoid?
I've tried to adjust to bass to certain level, so that it won't cause rattle...but still, with different CDs / songs, or different sound qualities, the bass still seems to cause those rattles...just anywhere around the front speakers...
I hate to not have bass in the stereo system....do I have a choice?

I'm assuming you have the same issues as me, the rear deck farts and vibrates
I just put a thick rubber pad between the the glass and the rear deck, everything seems fine now. The best will be to take the rear deck off, and apply dynamat under the rear deck, and all over the damn trunk, but that's if you an audiophile or will be changing your speakers/subs.
lol, ProblemChild, that was my temporary fix in my 2G TL

Sound deadening comes in two forms: Barrier Loading & Mass Loading. In this case, your system is causing vibration in the door panel (duh) which can EASILY be solved by adding some sound deadening.
I'd suggest the following:
(1) Cut an MDF ring for the front speakers, this will not only create a better seal, but distributed the vibration
(2) Get about 20sqft of Damplifier, if can be found at secondskinaudio.com . This is the BEST deadener I have used. Just add a layer or two directly to the door panel, and you'll be right as rain. You'll need about 4 to 6 sqft. per door panel, per layer.
Good luck!!!
