Angry Sony Ericsson S710 & HFL: Restart on Transfer

Not sure that happened to any S710a owner but it happened with me twice. Whenever I transfer call from my S710a to HFL, my phone is re-started
I think the problem's on S710a firmware or software, so just wonder if anybody has that ....

Weird. I've never had that problem.

I usually make sure the HFL is paired before making calls.

I just got my TL and have the 710. So far everything else works well. I was wondering how well the transfer work so I will specifically check it out for you.

While we're discussing the TL and the S710, is there any way to get CID info (besides the number) transmitted/displayed on the TL?

Thanks

What other CID info are you talking about? As in the number's registered owner?

As far as I know, the MID just displays number, reception, battery meter and occasional roaming. I'm just happy all of those work. Not everyone is as lucky.

The work around is just set different ringtones and caller picture IDs for those that call you the most often. I've seen another S710 thread on here before. You might want to search and check that thread out as well.

I was just wondering if maybe the bluetooth from the phone could pass the name of the person calling (by matching the number to the phones internal phonebook just like it does when you get a call on the phone)

Nope. It will not work.
How about the transfer ? Does it work with your S710?

I've only tired transfering from HFL to cell.

Click on HFL button and say "transfer." Worked like a charm.

I had a similar issue with the w600 where it was not using the HFL for outgoing calls and when I manually tried to transfer to HFL via the phone it would just sit there and say Connecting..... and I would end up having to reboot the phone. This was due to the newest firmware that SE provided and I had to downgrade to get rid of the problem.

I have an S710a and just picked up my 06TL. I do not get anything in terms of call display. You're lucky to have the number, I'd be happy with that. Is there something I can do to get the number to show on my car like you guys have? Is it a setting in the phone or in the car?

Thanks,
Rashid

BTW, I do not have the restart problem on transfer. I tried it today and it worked fine with my S710a.
