Alright so I have some pics for you guys to hold you over til its done. I've got the head unit installed. I also removed the silver trim pieces around the head unit and filled in the half circles and had them painted along with all the other silver trim in the car. And finally my suede headliner is done.

Suede is always a great looks

Have you thought about wrapping or dipping the custom plate for the new radio in Carbon fiber...??? That would really put a nice final touch on an already dope looking set-up...

I can't wait to see it DONE!!!

Sorry guys, the wait is killing me too. I was just up there and I decided to add another 12" IDMAX, another Arc Audio KS1000.1 and another Kinetic Battery. It should be nuts. So its 3 12" Image Dynamics IDMAX subs, 3 Arc audio KS 1000.1, 1 Arc Audio 300.4, 2 kinetic batteries and a 220 amp alternator. 3000 watts on the subs and 600 watts on the interior speakers. I know its overkill but that's just me, Mr. Overkill. I told the guy that I wanna be able to hurt some ears If I feel like it. So thursday is the day. Trust me, nobody wants this done more than I do.

Do you have a term lab? That would be sweet. I would love to see if this was worth it. I hope so. Anyway, when it's done we will meet up. BTW, what are your FI's hittin on the meter?

A good friend of mine has one I don't but usually I am able to grab it away from him on occasion. He has been out of town training for work but as soon as he comes back I will see if I can grab it for a weekend...

On a 50Hz test tone the Fi Q 15 I have hit 143.4 however since I am not running it off the factory deck in My new TL the signal is nowhere near as good. Right now I just have the single Q in a ported box but I will prob end up doing 2 of them in a sealed enclosure if I ever get off my ass....

Or knowing me I will add to my sub collection and go with something totally different..

I was going to go with JL Audio W7's also but they are too heavy and require alot of power. I am running 1 12" Diamond sub in a 2 cubic vented box and a Hifonics 500watt rms amp at 4 ohms and a 1.5 farad cap. It rocks great.

3 days ago I built a small sealed box, 1.8 cu/ft with alot of dacron insulation and 2 12" Kenwwood KFC subs and a 2 farad cap, and a 900watt rms Kenwood mono sub amp running the woofers in parallel at 2 ohms. Its for my sons Chevy Aveo. OH MY, it is insane, blows my single Diamond set-up away. SO I went and bought another Diamond 12" sub. Now I am building a ported 4.5 cubic foot box for my 2 12" Diamond subs wired in parellel and my amp puts out 900+ watts rms at 2 ohms.

You dont need MASSIVE HUGE HEAVY SUBS. Just the proper enclosure and an amp to match. My sons entire sub system with everything cost me $550. Using all huge wires, MDF wood.

Brad, you have access to a term lab and you didn't tell me? I'm going to kick you right in the shin next time I see you

As for Eddie... Dude you are fucking nuts, man. I hope you have access to a few rear windshields because the excursion in the glass is sure to break it. My 2 w6's shakes my rear windshield about an inch and I'm terrified it's going to break. I can only imagine what 3000 watts is going to do to it!

Man how happy would I be if the back window broke? That would be awesome. To be able to tell people that your bass shattered your back window, that would be sweet. We'll see. Maybe I'll have to keep a few spares in the garage. LOL!!! Im leaving in a few to go check on the car.

Lol. It's not as glorifying as you would think. When I had my F150 (r.i.p. ), the bass didn't 'shatter' the windshield but propagated a small rock chip until the entire windshield had to be replaced. It only cost around $200 for that model but I've seen Acura windshield pricing......it's nothing pretty.

Although, if you could get a video of your windshield actually 'shattering' then you would be in Azine hall of fame by my standards.

I have never shattered one but have put some nice cracks where the window meets the rear deck... it sucked....!!!

If it would have happened at an SPL drag it would have been cool but it never seems to work out that way.

Brad, see if you can get the term lab borrowed for next week. We'll get together and measure all of our SPLs.

Do we need to float him some cash to borrow it? If so I'm still in.

That's why I did the J pipe and all the cat deletes, to compensate for the extra weight. It was never a performance car for me anyway. I can't wait to pick it up.

$4,500 for 60 hp, no thanks. I'm good. I don't feel much of a difference acceleration wise.

So I picked up the car today and damn does that thing pound. The scary part is that the gains on the amps are on half while the subs get broken in. I'll be dropping it off next week for a day to get it tuned and finish a couple of minor things but all in all I am damn happy. I'll post some pics in the morning.

So I snapped a few pics today of the finished product. There still a few bugs that need to be worked out and it still needs to be tuned but it hits pretty damn hard. My head hurts a little right now. I'll let Trew and Quad150db chime in since they came by and heard it today.

One thing's for sure. Those guys paid careful attention to detail. That system looks f'kin amazing, bro...

As far as the sound goes... DAAAYYUMMM!!! It's easily twice as loud as my setup and the bass is clean and loud - maybe TOO LOUD!

Excellent install!!!

I can only imagine what it will sound like when it gets tuned and the gains get turned up.
