Thumbs down

dont go to the little dog company :[

edit: and by the way, it's totally different hardware. you're looking at a total gut rip and a new sirius head unit, or a portable sirius with the tape adapter or something.

but really, what's so good on sirius?

Howard Stern, NBA, NFL (which XM doesn't have).

BTW, Sirius just past XM for growth rate. Soon they wont be the little dog, and niether will their stock ;-).

Noob here, but not to search. I saw some posts from '04 and some posts on installing the seperate units (like tzakiel mentions with the adaptor). I have an '06 and haven't seen any posts about it. I guess I'll have to email the companies to see if it allows it.

If you like howard stern, listen to a few opie and anthony shows on 202. I say a few becuase everyone has slow shows so you really need a sampling. I ended up liking these two a lot better than howard. They are just as "shocking" and also intelligent and the humor goes a little deeper. Their comedian partner Jim Norton is also pretty funny.

On the same channel are Ron and Fez, who I have come to like the most out of any talk radio ever. Abolsutely hilarious, but it took me a few shows to "get" it.

Sirius starts with a smaller base, so any growth rate numbers are a bit misleading. E.g, if you have one listener and get your second, your growth rate is 100%

They're getting more new subscribers, so even if they had the same current, sirius would still have a better growth rate.

They were here in Dallas before they got fired. They were ok, nothing special.

Switching to Sirius would be very difficult/expensive.

I have Sirius in addition to XM, mainly for Howard. My install was very clean--total of about 2 cm of exposed wire.

IMHO, Ron and Fez are unfunny. I'd rather listen to dead air.

The headunit in the 04,05 and 06' TL are all going to be the same. The only variation may be an aux input on the 06' for use with the optional ipod adapter - and nobody knows (that I have heard of yet) what this aux input in is going to be.

You would have to pull out the navi (assuming you have nav) to see what is on the back. That is the only logical place I can think of that there would be the additional input for the ipod adapter. More than likely it will be nearly impossible to use the ipod interace input to connect sirius.

You would be better off simply using an FM modulator to connect the sirius radio to the head unit.
