Should I Be Worried????

I've had my 06 for a couple of months, but when I went out to take my son to daycare this morning, my navi screen went all green and said downloading, then after it finished it went to the pin # screen. My radio was also locked out, I had the codes so I got them unlocked. What could've caused this to happen?

the navi resets when there is no power or one disconnect battery. have you had any problem with the battery?

was there any work done to the car at all?

No it starts right up everytime, the car was parked in front of my door last night. No work done to the car at all since I've gotten it.

that is very unusual, for the nav to reset like that. if it was me, I would probably try to scan cpu and see if there were any error codes.

just a thought

Ok, so I just went out to my car, and my key fob wouldnt work, I went around to the drivers door and opened it with my key. After I opened the door with my key the key fob worked, then when I started the car I got a message on the nav screen saying that the car was locating GPS and not to move the car for 10 minutes. This is really starting to bother me, Im off Wednesday so I think I'll take my car in then and have them look at it, because Im nervous that one day Im gonna go out and my car just isnt gonna start.

Taking to the dealer is good thing. is it under warranty?
it sounds like it is having intermitent power loss. could be a simple battery cleaning dnk.
but please post results, on what dealer will find wrong with it.

good luck

Glad it was something simple and your Navi is fine. Good info if it happens to someone else.
