shield/cover for backup camera

A few times now, someone tried to rip the backup camera off my car...

Are there shields/covers available for these cameras?

Has anyone tried to mound the camera inside the car behind the rear glass?

That wont work properly. The rear camera is mainly to see if there are any kids or unknown objects behind your car so you don't hit them. Putting it in the window won't give you as good of an angle of vision that you need.
