Samsung Fascinate with '06 TL
#3
I have the Fascinate and paired it with my 2006 TL. Pairing went OK, but it has horrible problems with the car losing the BT connection to the phone. in 99 cases out of 100, I can make or receive a call, but within 1 to 2 minutes, the car will announce "the bluetooth link has been lost", and then reacquire the phone within 30 seconds or so. But, it will then drop in a few minutes, and the cycle repeats.
I complained to Verizon, and they simply swapped out the phone for another one. The same problem exists.
I noticed on the Acura HFL website that the i500 Fascinate is still 'pending' certification with the 2006 TL.
Tonight I sent an email to the Samsung support line asking about a solution, and I am going back to Verizon tomorrow to complain again.
I had an LG phone before this and the BT connection was rock solid. I could talk until the battery wore out without the car dropping the link.
Any body else?

I had the fascinate for a few months briefly and i paired it without a problem. I always pair the phone to the BT by having the phone search for the car and then pair it through there.
First go through the whole set up and pairing process on the car menu. Once you get to the point where you say the pin number and it searches for a new BT phone, have the phone go in discovery mode and scan for new devices. Once the new device comes up, just enter the pin and everything should be smooth sailing.
Ive dont that process with every phone (droids, BBs, etc) and it always worked for me.
