Samsung A930 vs. Motorola Razr

My 2 year contract with Verizon will soon come to past and I'm debating on getting the Samsung a930 or the Mororola Razr. Does either show signal strength with the TL? Is the Samsung an approved phone by Acura? Any comments or suggestions, both pro and con are welcomed.

Just because Samsung is not approved by Acura, does this necessarily mean it would or could not work as effectively as an approved phone?

I agree (sort of). Just because a phone is not approved by Acura, does not mean that it won't work. I personally would not choose a phone that was tested by Acura and put on their not compatible list. If it were not on the list at all, I might try it. Looks like Acura shows the 930 on the list that it's currently being tested. I'd guess from the list of the other Sammy's on the NOT list that the 930 will end up there as well.

Just upgradded my V3c to the V3m yesterday. Phone still works wonderfully with the hfl. The Razr through Verizon has been the best phone I have had witht he TL. Believe me I currently have a few and I've had a few in the past. Sorry I'm a moto fan and I may be biased about the Samsung lineup. Samsungs are horrible phones in my opinion.

I have the RAZR and is very happy with it. The car shows signal strenght not battery meter. A few days ago I was cleaning my car in the garage, had the ignition on II listening to the radio. The radio went down and the "you have an incoming call" went off in the car. I answered and after the conversation I searched the car for the phone (I have 2 phones both of them are paired with the car) and could not find a phone. I was shocked because after I found my phones they were in my living room over 30 feet and three rooms away.

In general I've always been happy with Moto phones as well. They are probably my favorite. I'd have to say the Treo is the best phone I've ever had, but that more based it what it does for me. I usually buy a new phone every 6 months (got to have the latest) and I've had my Treo for over a year now.

Thumbs up for Moto's!

Jmaik,

I wish I could tell you I did something special but I didn't. I would imagine you have a V3c if you just bought it. I bought my about a month ago when I got my TL. I did some checking into the differences with the V3 and V3c and about the only difference is the V3c is CDMA and has more internal memory (40mb) then the V3. I know some Cell providers use a software overlay on the V3c that can limit features. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Best of luck!

I have the samsung A930 and it works great with TL.
Battery and Signals do not show in the MID thou.

Living in Metro area with Verizon, I get reception everywhere so I am not too concern about the signal strength. Plus how often do you check your battery gauge?

I think its just the looks in the MID? Looks good?

Anywho, samsung A930 works great with my 05 TL.

I was going to get RAZR but too many people has it and when I tried it, it doesnt feel like a phone, it feels like...wide metal piece of @!#$@#! Not a big fan of RAZR....

Good thing I waited long enough for this samsung a930. I am happy with it.
