Yes, '07-'08 Amplifiers are interchangable
Hello All,
I asked a question on here a long time ago about the replacing my defective amplifier in my 2004 TL with an amp from an 07-08 TL. No one seemed to have an answer so I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought one off of ebay for about $90.00. I am here to say that YES the newer amp will work perfectly with older TL's. It isn't worth it to replace your 2004-06 amp with one from those years because it will eventually fail. I spend a lot of time in my car and a good audio system is a must so I am completely satisfied. Hopefully this helps early 3G owners who experience the common amp failure and don't wish to solder things back together.

Finally got around to doing this. Swapped my A01 amp in my '05 with an A11 amp from an '07 I bought off of ebay. I now have a functional sub and front speakers that aren't at half volume and/or buzzing constantly.

i got a 05 and got lots of buzzing noise from the speakers when the car is on. if i key off to ACC position the buzzing will stop after like 5 secs? speakers and everything still work fine. do you think the amp is the culprit? wondering why the buzzing goes away when i key to acc position.
