Removing carpet to get to speakers

Has anyone done this, if so how. I am trying to install an RCA adapter off the subwoofer for my amp. I looked at it closely for awhile and couldn't figure out how to remove the carpet

I have done everything, well almost everything to my car. you dont need to remove the carpet. Put it inside the door trim. I looks better and no bumps.

Where do you pull an output for an aftermarket sub... Do your use a line level adapater? Do you got to the OEM sub from the trunk or interior?

Some ppl are telling me we need a Line Driver to increase the signal from our OEM deck to the Aftermkt amp output. However, some ppl are just using a output converter that converts the speaker wires to RCA output that connects to the amp. Anyone used a LineDriver b/c it is recommended I heard. If not used, your amp might be working twice as hard due to lack of weak signal from our deck. Please comment if anyone has come accross this.
