Remote turn on in trunk

Hey guys, I decided to do a small amp/subwoofer set up. Using a 400 watt Monoblock Kicker amp to power a 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect sub. I started the install yesterday and ran power back to the trunk, and got signal using a line output converter spliced into the OEM sub wiring and then running RCA's into the amp. I had to quit early but checked for the Amp Turn on at the XM box in the trunk and was surprised there was none, just to 12v constants. Does anybody know if a 12volt switched source is in the trunk or do I need to just man up and spend an extra 15 minutes taking things back apart and running it from the ignition harness? Planning on finishing the install tonight when I get home from class. Thanks for your input.
Justin

i ran mine from the radio, but to save you an hour, you can run it from the cig lighter. but i have yet to try it from the trunk. might wanna just go ahead and take that extra 15 min and do it right.
