Relocating GPS Antenna
Hello,
Im new to this forum and have used the search option but havent found a answer to my question. I was wondering if we was to move the gps antenna from underneath the back dash and put it on top of the dash if it would pick up signal even better? Or if we could actually relocate it to the trunk lid...tha only thing about the trunk lid....would be is it water proof?
Please answer if anyone knows these answers....

Are you currently having trouble getting GPS signals? Mine has always worked just fine, but if yours isn't, have the dealer figure out if there is something wrong with it.

First off thank you for answering my post, second the gps right most of the time , however, at times it is fast and slow....just wondering if the antenna had a clear view out the window instead of being cover by the dash if it would actually get better signal....? I did also just have my windows tinted but i made sure they did not use metalic tint...it also did the fast slow thing before tint also...but not quite as bad..
Thanks Rick

It depends on how many satellites your nav is linked to. thats what determines the EXACT location of the car, if you dont have enough satellites then the system guesstimates by computer programming determining speed, direction.....
