Rear deck lid removal-Help!!

Rear deck lid removal-Help!!

Hi i've been searching throughout AZ and still couldn't find a thread about how to remove the rear deck lid to access the speakers and sub. Anyone could direct me to it, i would appreciates it. Thank you!

Have to remove the rear seats, the C pillars, and then the decklid will pop up

Aside from the seats, the C-Pillars and rear deck cover are held down entirely by plastic clips. They will come out with a good pull. Don't be afraid to rip those bad boys out. They will usually come out with no damage to the clips.

^remove the rear seat bottom (only takes a few seconds),then remove the rear seat back. Then the c-pillars, then the rear deck. Doesnt take long after you get used to it.


im sure it could be done without removing the seats, but I have always removed them to make room for maneuvering around inside the car.

I just loosened my seat back and pulled the C pillars, then it pulled right up. Probably would have been easier with the seats all the way out. I was able to flex it enough to get the sub out, cut the stock harness to the sub, solder an extension, and heat shrink but it was kinda tight. Just saying you don't actually have to remove it all the way to get back there.
