Question on a sub. for my TL???
Ok I have been reading through all of the installs and think I am going to take the dive and do it myself (*gulp*). I have installed amps and speakers before but I have never done a custom job, just slapped a premade box, amp, crossover and a sub into the back of my car. But now I have a TL and I need to make it look PIMP. I saw a link for the following Pioneer Premier Sub THIS SUB any thoughts? I have designed a box 28.5" x 12.5" x 6.15" that gives me the 22.6 L stated on the above link for the box volume. This box should fit nicely at the bend for the spare tire cover so my gf does not kill me if she needs to change a tire (yea right). So I guess my question for all you Guru’s is what do you think of the speaker and of the box design. Thanks in advance everyone!

Sounds good. Interesting design for the sub. Let us know what it sounds like after the install. Take pixs of the install and share with us. I did my first sub box on my previous car and it came out good so don't worry.

It's a good idea....I like this install that someone did with 3 eD 7" subs in the spare tire. They fiberglassed the rim of the spare and put them in a circular pattern.......I guess they sound fantastic. It was done in a Honda Accord, so it should be very similar to ours. eD subs rock!!

I am installing my system this weekend. Im using a JL 10w1 for my sub in a small enclosure to allow access to the spare. That sub looks sweet, but I have yet to be impressed with the sound q of a pioneer sub......just my .02
