I'm working on putting a touchscreen LCD plus two LCD's in the headrests, connected to a computer with three VGA out's; I was able to find an 8" widescreen LCD touchscreen unit that when removed from its casing, matches the exact size where the stock stereo/navi screen goes.

Now onto the question: Does anyone have information regarding the stereo/AC unit? I'm looking for information on the connectors that go to it (how many conductors, information on what each one is, etc); I imagine that diagrams from the Acura electronics manual may contain this; I've ordered it but I'm looking for information in the meantime as wlel.

I'm looking to find a way to take the connectors that go to that screen and connect it to a computer via a serial or parallell port. I'm looking to eliminate the stock screen rather than remounting it like others have done; this obviously will require work on the software side as well as with the actual hardware.

Not a one day endeavor by any means, but the end result would be nice.

Any input would be appreciated.

Just went to a very well respected Custom car shop outside of Boston..
Richies Car tunes.. they work on the best cars and treat a $300 job like a $3000 job.. excellentr quality.. They are going to install an auto starter for me but i am also in the middle of designing a new LCD system....

I was going to relocate like others, but if anyone does figure this outi am interested.. and if Richies figures it out i will let others know. it would be much cleaner to have 1 LCD>

Here's some pics of the LCD screen. Not mine but they should help. Let me know how it goes. I'm in the middle of building my carpc. BTW what touchscreen are you using that fits perfectly? The size of the opening is about 7.75 inches diagonal.

It's a TView T800TS 8" WIDE TFT LCD DISPLAY. I'll post pictures once I have it mounted.
