Problems with USA Spec iPod with my 2006 Navi TL

I had the USA spec ipod deal installed in my 2006 Acura TL with NAVI and its been a nightmare. First off the day after all my lights around the navi unit wouldn't light up, so I made the shop fix it, they put a whole new main circuit board in the unit. Two weeks after that my navi screen went black and would show no display at all. Sound would come out, but no display. So i sent the reader to Alpine for repair. First day after I put it back in it displays and works, but my navi unit reboots/resets randomly going down the road? Has anyone else experianced this?

Thanks for the help,

Assuming everything worked correctly before you went in, it sounds like the shop messed something up.

There must be a short of some kind making my navi reboot when the ipod adapter is hooked up. We unhooked it for the last week and it works perfectly! I guess i'm SOL and can't have an ipod adaptor in my TL. The shop said they've never seen this before.

Which means they dont know what they did and wont admit to any wrong doing or mess ups. I installed mine myself in about 2 hours and it has worked flawlessly.

Its the best shop in Atlanta, the do all the high end work for bentley, ferrari etc... They even paid $800.00 to have my circuit board fixed on my navi and gave me a full refund for labor and the USA spec piece. I'm going to try an isimple, if that doesn't work I'm done with it!
