Problems with sirius radio
I searched through some threads and couldn't find what I needed, so here goes.
I converted to sirius about 1 1/2 yrs ago using the Hon SC1 and SCC1 modules and it worked great. About a month ago it started cutting out a lot "aquiring signal" in places it always worked before. It came back for about 2 weeks but now is not working again. Sirius suggested it could be the antenna, (I am using a seperate sirius one supplied with the kit) but if it's cutting out in the same spots I can't see it being the antenna or a loose wire. On clear blue sky days it struggles to find a signal too. I've reset by unplugging the battery and that does nothing. Anybody else have this problem before? I'll get some time to open panels up to take a look next week. It's pretty frustrating. Any help is appreciated, TIA

I actually have trouble occasionally with my HON SC1 and SCC1 staying physically connected. So maybe it is simple as that, the cable is not staying plugged in all the way when going over bumps or something.
If you would like to make it so you can get rid of the aftermarket antenna and convert the factory XM antenna to receive Sirius signal there is a guy that will actually make you an adapter. His product is very good and looks like something that you would buy in the store.
His name is Brian and his email address is brianwebb@ca.rr.com
Good luck on getting your sirius to work.

Thanks for the reply. I have heard about him and read threw some of his threads.
I actually got in my car later last night after posting this thread and the screen reads antenna error, so either it's disconnected or it took a shit. Hopefully the module itself didn't but I'll have to look at it.
