Post picture of your after market Switches

Hi guys,

This thread is for all users who have an after market switch installed inside their 3rd Gen TL.

Maybe you guys already know, my MacMini install is going well and I now need to find a good location for a ON/OFF and maybe a kill switch(12v). I decided to go with a 2 state switch instead of Push since I can check easily see on which state the MAC is....anyway thats not the point here, even if you have a PUSH button, post it to.

I would like to see what you guys did, carPc owners, DvD players installation, etc etc.. if you got an after market switch inside your car, post a pic or explain where you installed it and why.

FYI: I'm Planning on using the free spot on the left of the steering wheel for my Accord Fogs that will be installed soon....

I hope I'm not asking to much

Thanks in advance!

here's the switch panel i made, it has P.I.E X-3 push button, and video switcher, and nav to go mini rocker switches. for me an awesome location, easily pull the lower cubby open and close when needed.

i got a flat 10 conductor cable, kinda like telephone cable, soldered every connection to all switches, the flat cable can pass through the lower corner of the compartment, theres room there. then i ran it through the car door and out through the oem door harness. i ran it through the rubber housing and into the car cabin

here you can see the silver cable. you cant see any wiring from my switches, super clean

this is really clean, i think i might need to do something like this if i cant get my homelink switch project to work. I have an accord fog switch, independent fog switch, im getting my DOMs unit this week so thats two more switches and my footwell switches. I would love to have a box liek this to control everything.

almost like how a network cable has 8 strands in it...something like that you're talking about right?

yup, only this one had 10 strands or wires, 6 for the P.I.E X-3 and two for each of the rocker switches, this was perfect.

Recently installed for navtool switch. Doesn't interfere with cups, within reach and blends in nicely.
