Please help am/fm is screwed!!

Please help am/fm is screwed!!

ok just want to start off stating i searched the forum and couldnt find anyone with the same problem, only similar but it didnt help me at all..so i bought my car from a used car lot so it is not a certified, the am/fm doesnt get any reception what so ever....it functions but all i get is static..the antenna is brand new and it is plugged it..i brought it to an audio shop and they said they dont have any idea of why this is.anyone have any ideas? any help is appreciated...thanks in advance

i also want to include that i tried using a fm transmitter for my iphone and it is not catching a signal with requires a channel that is open, and its still not working...

Not sure what you mean by the antenna is brand new. The antenna is integrated with the rear window. There is an antenna pre-amp that is in the driver's side rear pillar. The pre-amp has power connections, three inputs from the antenna and one output. You could check to make sure that all of these connections are in place. There is also one connection just below the radio in the front console. This should not have come loose unless someone was working in the area.

If you could explain the new antenna maybe you could get some better answers.

well the shop that i bought it from said that he thought it was a bad antenna so he replaced it with a brand new one..so i dont really know..can u show me where to find these connectors at? like when you say driver side rear pillar

Parts 13 and 19 on:

show the rear pillar pannel/garnish. Behing the garnish pannel is:

part number 8 is the pre-amp. You should be able to connect a non-powered antenna to this antenna cable connector.
