I’m helping a friend install a Pioneer unit into his Acura TL. We are just installing the head unit, keeping everything else factory. After the install, everything powered up but no sound from the speakers. I believe I know the solution, just want to double check before reinstalling the pioneer unit. Theirs a large grey connector from the factory head unit “pictured below”, i want to splice the red wire with a yellow stripe “car stereo amp trigger” into my aftermarket radio harness, the wire that I want to splice into is the blue/white wire “power antenna”. I already have that wire connected to the solid blue wire from the adapter harness “pictured below”. Any feedback will greatly be appreciated. This forum has already been a huge help with researching the problem, I'm hoping i have it right. Thank you!

That is correct.

Couple things to note:

-Since you have your speakers wired to utilize the HU power, it will be double amped.
-The factory subwoofer and center speaker is also wired into that grey connector.

thank you for the reply, and i can assume i can splice those wires into the power antenna wire as well?

You will need to connect the sub pre-amp RCAs from the back of the HU into the signal wires in the grey connector if you want to retain the stock sub. I wouldn't worry about the center speaker. I didn't bother with mine and just unplugged it.
